We just collected Elivia’s passport. It was very quick! Took only 2mins from the moment we got her ticket. ICA is very efficient. Read the rest of this entry
One thing I’ve noticed about being a parent is how much my taught just loves to be carried. And it’s not just enough that she be hugged and held in close contact but that she be carried high. It’s so strange. I mean, think about it, a 10month old desires to see things and experience things from her parents’ perspective at such a young age. She may not consciously think about it like that but somehow built into her makeup is this feeling of restedness and security when she is lifted up. Read the rest of this entry
Ok, this was really the shitz. ICA just sent a mail that Livy’s passport photo had been rejected for reasons that it was uneven background or that they couldn’t see her shoulders.
Firstly, do they have any frickin idea how difficult is it to get a baby to even look straight at the camera???!!
Secondly, shoulders??!! Are you kidding me?!?! You need to verify that my baby is really who she is not just a smiling laughing head?
Lastly. The only way to actually get a baby picture properly is to lie her down. So yes, when that happens you will get shadows.
No choice. Gotta try for another photo until the grumpy type-A people at ICA decides, “yeah, I think that looks boring and standard enough.”
Lately, Livy has developed a habit of waking up earlier and singing to herself in the mornings. And lastly, she would start picking toys from her bed and tossing them at me.
Yes… Daddy is awake now. =.='”
And finally when I get up, she’ll give me this cheerful smile. Almost to say, “good morning daddy”
Recently there was an article that showed 1 in 2 teenagers are exposed to pornography. The study was gender biased. This means that your kid has a 50% chance of being exposed to pornographic material by the age of 13.
Here’s some stats that we don’t hear though. The percentage of people who use porn is about 53% both in church and secular community. About 40% of pastors struggle with porn in the USA. Although porn isn’t as mainstream in Singapore, it has become an acceptable norm. With the availability of the internet, we can now get porn on our mobile devices – and nobody will ever know. Livy just turned 8months yesterday. Achievement awarded!
Bringing the family out doesn’t have to be expensive to be fun. I get it. There are some parents out there who bring their kids to Disneyland at the age of 1month to give them the best experience possible. I have a different opinion. I think it doesn’t really matter WHERE the place is, as long as the activity is meaningful. Read the rest of this entry
